Huge Serie A swap deal set to scupper Arsenal and Man Utd

Huge Serie A swap deal set to scupper Arsenal and Man Utd - originally posted on Soccerlens.com

Arguably the biggest deal of the summer so far is set to play out in Serie A in the coming hours, with Juventus’ Mirko Vucinic and Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin on the verge of an impressive swap deal, completely removing both Man Utd and Arsenal from the equation with one fell swoop.

The Gunners had been strongly linked with a move for Juve’s Vucinic, with Wenger looking far and wide for attacking reinforcement this January. David Moyes meanwhile had targeted Colombian battler Guarin, despite Chelsea reportedly being rebuffed earlier in the month with a £13m bid.

But now it seems the player will swap clubs in Serie A, and Twitter is ablaze with speculation and rumour.

La Gazetta Dello Sport claim that both players are undergoing medicals, and the deal is to be announced as soon as is possible.

But there is however an interesting rumour that the deal is off, after both sets of fans vociferously opposed the swap.
