Apaye, A Mother’s Love set to premiere at Silverbird Cinema

All is set for Royal Arts Academy to premiere its new film, ‘Apaye, A Mother’s Love’ on Friday March 7, 2014 at Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos. The movie will also begin to screen in all cinemas across the country on that day.


Produced by Emem Isong and directed by Desmond Elliot with Niyi Akinmolaran emerging as assistant director, ‘Apaye, A Mother’s Love’ features top acts like Clarion Chukwurah, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Belinda Effah, Mbong Amata, and Millicent Jack among others.


The movie tells the story of a woman who is determined to succeed against all odds. It highlights the true story of Elder Irene Yepayeye Uriah, who was born in the creeks of Bayelsa State, and is left to take care of her six children. She struggles and toils hard to provide for her family and makes sure that they enjoy a life that she was not privileged to have. Later in life, she becomes a woman of substance in her community, as people did not give her a chance of making it in life.
